In todays class we conducted some further user testing experimenting the our idea of personifying sugar in a humorous way before revealing its relation to food and health. We are experimenting with the idea of a person being "too sweet" with examples of an overly clingy boyfriend. We asked fellow students to look at the posters and then asked them whether in the beginning they were aware it was about sugar, if they feel it made sense and how they felt towards Ben overall (our personification of baked beans). We discovered that students found this a fun and humorous concept, with many noting that they found it a clever way to represent sugar to youth. We also found students were unaware of the "sweet" persons association to "sweet" food in the beginning which was our desired response. Overall people had trouble determining whether the character was being nice or creepy which was also an interesting response. While most users found the message clear after the last poster, we found that we have to work on the message being clearer so that everyone can understand completely in the end.
